Job Description Summary
This position is primarily responsible for the system administration and support of the firms Citrix technologies. This includes performing installations, configuring system upgrades and patches, continual monitoring of the system, and providing support and resolution of complex system issues within Citrix.
Maintains day to day function of Citrix technologies. Monitors and implements performance adjustments to system components as required to ensure optimum system function. Proactively recommends enhancements of infrastructure based on load.
Analyzes new patches and versions and tests them in development environments. Determines when and if patches should be deployed and works with the IT change management board to schedule deployments.
Responsible for the fail-over and testing of Citrix infrastructure to ensure high availability. Recommends changes to system based upon testing outcome to ensure optimal system performance. Participates in larger IT business continuity exercises.
Collaborates with hardware and OS technical teams to ensure proper integration with each system. Proactively recommends infrastructure changes to maintain high system performance and/or resolve current issues.
Responsible for the documentation of all strategies, processes, and procedures related to the implementation and support of the environment.
Works with other members within Technology Services Group to ensure complete and timely resolution of customer questions and issues, and completes any necessary follow-up on resolution.
Communicates on an as needed basis with the Service Desk to provide user support.
