A key aspect in the sale and successful implementation of our flag-ship Accounting Product to our expanding portfolio of customers is to define the role our product will play within the client solution architecture
This requires both a deep understanding of our product set – the strengths and weaknesses it represents in given client contexts, the opportunity the product offers clients, the best practice in operational and deployment models, the shaping of the solution and positioning within the client current, interim and target landscapes
The role requires the ability to shape the solution to client requirements without compromising the quality of the core product, whilst ensuring that business value is clearly defined, continuously maintained and effectively visible to client stakeholders throughout
The Marketing, Sales and Pre-Sales teams will have established the proposition, business case, and positioning for the solution and the Centre-of- Excellence teams will provide ongoing knowledge and support.
The Solution Architect and SME role will require application of these combined knowledge resources to the client at a particularly important and sensitive point in the process – the transition from Pre-Sale to Post-Sale: i.e. ensuring that the value proposition(s) are realized, and laying the sound basis for a successful implementation by the consultant, partner and client teams
You will be seen by clients, prospects, partners, and our own implementation consultants as a key Accounting Hub product knowledge expert.
You will work with the solution data architects, the business-user community, and operating model owners to establish the product and related applications firmly within the client target architecture and lay the path to a practical, efficient and above all, successful project conclusion.
You will be a key contributor during the scope and estimation phase of the client engagement – helping ensure appropriate scope boundaries are defined.
Although typically not assigned to specific customer implementation projects long-term - you will hand over the functional and technical design to the functional and technical
Experience in transaction processing, accounting, GL or business information software package implementation within our target business communities (Finance, Banking, Insurance, Trading, Telecoms, Healthcare) will be necessary. This could be from the client or provider side of the fence.
An exceptional track record of senior/lead roles on large and complex enterprise wide implementations
Proven experience with a consulting led environment
Strong influencing and leadership skills
Experience in Trade Data Warehouses /Reporting Data Marts an advantage
Accounting knowledge or qualifications
Experience of designing Financial Systems / General Ledger Projects within Financial Services
Technical bias with business awareness
A working knowledge of the following technologies would be very desirable:
DBA/Database skills: Oracle, DB2, Teradata, SQL Server
